I'm taking a month off (and actually I'll be at the beach).. :)
Plan to resume towards the end of July...
Have a great summer!
Sorry it has taken me so long to get this post up...I've been busy with photography!
The date will be Tuesday, May 22nd from 7-9pm at our usual spot at the Carolyn Barron Montessori School in Newnan.
Also, to be honest, I couldn't decide what project to make..lol..I consulted a few "regulars", and this is what we are going with this month :)
This cute little butterfly punch piece of artwork on a canvas :) We will have lots of papers to punch from..you can do a bright fun look like the one below, or something more vintage-y or that matches your house or your daughter's room, etc...pick papers that give you the look YOU want...
To keep the cost down, I had to do a few things:
The canvas background we will be using will not be the wrapped type due to the fact that I can't find 5x7 ones without staples showing on the sides, and those staples bothered me because I pictured this in a little easel...so they will be the flat type of artist canvas. You can also put it into a frame with the glass removed..we will discuss all that stuff that night.
Also, the punch is quite expensive, so I only ordered one...we all get along so well, we'll just have to take turns punching our butterflies...it goes quite quickly, so it shouldn't be a problem, right? and also, the project itself shouldn't be terribly time consuming.
So, you will need to bring your glue gun and a pair of scissors (little ones if you have them)...you may also want to bring tweezers to pick up and place your butterflies and place your rhinestones if you are super uptight like me about things being even and straight :)
The cost for this month will be $7.
Hope to see you there! As usual, bring a snack if you want..I will have drinks..and bring a friend if you wish!
Your payment registers you and saves your spot :)
Hey Ladies! For our April craft night, we will have a "guest instructor" ...the super crafty and talented Mrs. Angie Lindley...
The date is Tuesday, April 24th from 7-9pm at our usual spot...Carolyn Barron Montessori School.
We will be making two types of fabric flowers..you can make them into pins, hair clips, put them on headbands, etc...
or you can combine the two and make this...
The cost will be $5 this month...
You need to bring a glue gun, glue sticks, and scissors that will cut fabric..you may also bring any fabric scraps that you may want to use for your flowers...we will also have lots of scraps there too to use.
There is no set number of how many flowers you can make..however many you can get done in the time we have...
If you'd like to bring a snack to share, feel free...
Looking forward to seeing you there :)
To sign up, pay here using the paypal button...
We had a small group this month...some of the "regulars" were out of town or had other things going on...I wanted to give a quick "Congrats"! to LeighAnn Pruiksma and her family who are in China right now getting their little girl...so happy for you guys and that little girl will be so blessed to be part of your family!
Here are a few snapshots from last night...(and I forgot to get a group picture AGAIN...grrr)
Mary is a spray painting machine...lol
Ms. Angie will be leading April's Craft Night.. :)
Our April night will most likely be the last Tuesday night in April..I'll be posting details in a week or so...hope to see you there..
(Missed you Kathleen..sorry you couldn't stay and hope your Mom gets better real soon..thank you so much for setting up and letting us use your classroom space)
March's craft night will be Tuesday, March 27th from 7-9pm at our usual spot...the Carolyn Barron Montessori School in downtown Newnan.
We will be making these cute wooden photo holders.
(images from Pinterest)
The cost will be $10 and to sign up, you must pay via the paypal button below before I add you to the list. The class size limit this month is 24 (no exceptions due to wood having to be cut etc).
I need to know
1. If you want yours to be vertical or horizontal (Brad has to know where to drill a hole for the top finial).
2. If you want black or white paint.
Email me at email@example.com or message me on facebook with these answers once you pay and sign up.
Come prepared to do some spray painting at the end, so don't wear your nice clothes just in case.
As always, feel free to bring a snack to share if possible.
Cancellation policy is as follows: You must cancel by Saturday, March 24th to get a full refund. After that date, no refunds, and I will fill your spot with someone else..thanks.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Another great time..we made glass tile pendants...
I'm working on the details of March's Craft Night...planning on the last week of March either Tuesday or Thursday, but I need to get my daughter's softball schedule before I can decide which day...it will be limited to 25 women this month due to my husband having to cut some wood for the project..lol..Planning to have details and sign up ready to go next week when life slows down :) (yeah, right...lol)
Wow, after January, I am SUPER excited about what February holds for us! :)
Our February craft night will be Tuesday, February 28th from 7-9 pm. The cost will be $5 per person.
Due to the need for more space, we will meet at a different location this month. It will be at the Carolyn Barron Montessori School in downtown Newnan, 195 Jackson Street. I will give the people who sign up more specific directions as the event gets closer if needed.
I will be ordering all of the supplies in bulk, so in order to sign up and reserve your spot, you will need to prepay below using the Paypal button. I am limiting this month's number to 30 women because I am preordering supplies. After you pay using Paypal, please send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to tell me you are coming because I may not recognize you from your payment.
This month's craft will be these super cute 1" glass tile pendants. You will make three of them and get one silver plated 18" snake chain. You can either back your tiles with patterned paper or a photograph. If you choose a photograph and don't know how to crop or resize it to a 1" square, you can email me your picture, and I will bring everyone's that night. Because I have scrapbooked for years, I had TONS of different patterned paper pieces for you to pick from.
(all images below from Pinterest)
We will be making the square shaped ones...
As before, please bring a snack or appetizer if you can to share. I will have tea and water, and you may bring wine if you would like.
Can't wait to see you there :)
The first one! It was so fun..and crowded and LOUD and full of craftiness ;) Lots of good snacks too!
The great thing? Everyone finished their scarf! AND I know I made some new friends too!
Thanks to all you awesome women that came out to make the first craft night a huge success (even in that bad weather :)
I will be posting February's craft and information this weekend...stay tuned :)
