Wow, after January, I am SUPER excited about what February holds for us! :)
Our February craft night will be Tuesday, February 28th from 7-9 pm. The cost will be $5 per person.
Due to the need for more space, we will meet at a different location this month. It will be at the Carolyn Barron Montessori School in downtown Newnan, 195 Jackson Street. I will give the people who sign up more specific directions as the event gets closer if needed.
I will be ordering all of the supplies in bulk, so in order to sign up and reserve your spot, you will need to prepay below using the Paypal button. I am limiting this month's number to 30 women because I am preordering supplies. After you pay using Paypal, please send me an email to jobyx2@yahoo.com to tell me you are coming because I may not recognize you from your payment.
This month's craft will be these super cute 1" glass tile pendants. You will make three of them and get one silver plated 18" snake chain. You can either back your tiles with patterned paper or a photograph. If you choose a photograph and don't know how to crop or resize it to a 1" square, you can email me your picture, and I will bring everyone's that night. Because I have scrapbooked for years, I had TONS of different patterned paper pieces for you to pick from.

We will be making the square shaped ones...
As before, please bring a snack or appetizer if you can to share. I will have tea and water, and you may bring wine if you would like.
Can't wait to see you there :)

The great thing? Everyone finished their scarf! AND I know I made some new friends too!
Thanks to all you awesome women that came out to make the first craft night a huge success (even in that bad weather :)

Goodness, what a great response I've gotten to next week's craft night! We have somewhere near 35 people who have said they are coming...so with that being said, I'm going to not be able to take any more people due to space. But know that there's always the months ahead! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the 26th!
*Edited to add: Make sure you get a men's XL tshirt for the project..they tend to be larger and boxier..it's the amount of fabric that you'll need to cut up for the scarf..just clarifying :)
I will be sending out directions soon to those that have said they are coming..will most likely will do a mass message on Facebook....

Hey Ladies! Our craft night for January will be Thursday, January 26th from 7-9pm at the location I mentioned below.
Our project will be this super cute scarf made from an XL T-shirt...
(photo from Pinterest..blog The Pink Peony of LeJardin)
You will need to bring an XL Tshirt (they are only $3.99 at Hobby Lobby, and they have lots of colors), a bottle of permanet fabric glue if you have it, and scissors that will cut fabric.
(*I just checked Hobby Lobby's ad for this week, and the Tshirts are 30% off this week! and use the 40% off coupon for your fabric glue if you don't already have some)
I have already made one of these and worn it ...they turn out pretty cute!
Please email me at jobyx2@yahoo.com or send me a message on Facebook to let me know you want to come. I can give you directions then.
Don't forget to bring an appetizer or snack if possible and your drink of choice if you don't want sweet tea.
Deadline to sign up is Saturday, January 21st.
Hope to see lots of you there!
(Be sure to read below for the general information if you haven't already done so)

I'm so excited to finally get this up and going. I have had this idea brewing in my head since last year, so it's great to actually see my plan become reality starting this month! You may remember my post on my personal blog here from last September.
So, what is "Just Us Girls"? It is a monthly craft night where women can get together, talk, eat, drink, network, relax, and make an easy craft. What's that you say? You're not "crafty"? I've heard this from several of my friends. It's Ok because the crafts that we will be doing each month will be super easy for anyone. No sewing and no scrapbooking...lol! It's mainly about the getting together for some girl time..and all of us need girl time. It's good for the soul!
Here's how each month will work:
I will post the upcoming month's craft and information here. Some months, I will just tell you what you need to bring and some months, I will compile the supplies for you and there will be a paypal button where you can sign up and pay to cover your supplies before you come. My plan is for each craft to be no more than $10. Sometimes it will be less. On the months where you bring your own supplies, you will need to email me at jobyx2@yahoo.com or send me a message on Facebook telling me to sign you up. We have plenty of space, but I do need to have an idea of who will be coming.
I will ask you to bring a snack or appetizer type food to share, but if you are coming from work or something, don't stress about doing this. I'm sure there will be plenty of food. You are also welcome to bring the "adult beverage" of your choice if you want...a bottle of wine, mixed drinks, or whatever. Hey! It's all part of girls night! I will have sweet tea each month also.
For now, the nights are for adults only. I may plan a month or two that will be a "Mom and Me" type thing (because Bailey is already asking me when SHE can come), but for now, we need our "away time", right?
My friend, Vicki Gowin, has graciously offered her basement for our get togethers..and believe me, her basement is SUPER nice! It is located in the Lake Park subdivision on Bob Smith Road in Sharpsburg. I will give you specific directions when you sign up.
I will lead most months, but I also have a few fellow crafty friends in mind that I'm going to ask to lead here and there to mix it up.
I'm super excited! I have so many girlfriends I can't wait to see there. Feel free to bring your friends or sisters too!
Stay tuned because I will be posting January's plans in the next few days!
