A few things to look forward to...

I'm excited about the coming weekend...

Tonight, we are going over to our friend's Julie and Tim's for a football game (the BCS game, I have no idea, I'm totally going just for the party)...Brad has to whip up a batch of his famous salsa to take..

and then tomorrow, Brad and I are headed up to the mountains for the weekend to a nice little cabin in the woods to celebrate our 13th anniversary..so looking forward to just chilling out, spending time together and being able to carry on a conversation without being interrupted a million times, going out to eat at some good restaurants, taking pictures, and hitting a few antique stores in Clayton...

We're staying here..

ahhhhhhh...can't wait for this..it should make all my back aches better...and it'll be COLD outside..nothing better than running and jumping into the hot tub in cold weather..we loved doing that when we have gone skiing in the past..nothing like sitting in a hot tub at the foot of a Colorado mountain while it's snowing..BLISS...but, then you have to get out..that's another story...

Brad's taking a book--"The Shack"--so many people have suggested it..me? I'm gonna try to take a few scrapbooking layouts if I can get myself organized today..

I'm also scoping this place out to maybe go back on a little scrapbooking retreat with a few friends...

Oh, and we're getting a new mattress today! Is that weird to be excited about that?..our old matteress is like 15 years old and both of us wake up aching and paining every morning and we finally figured out it may be due to how old our mattress is..we'll see if our backs and necks improve...I hope so!

OK, gotta go get going..errands to run! Have a great Thursday!

Definitely read "The Shack". It's fabulous.

Also, if you are in Clayton, you need to eat at Rumor Haz It. It is wonderful and just down the street from downtown Clayton (the old part). You will love it. I recommend the she crab soup and the raspberry vinagrette salad dressing. Have fun!

i am so jealous!
not sure if it's the getaway itself or the peace and quite and uninterupted conversations that you will experience...let me know how you like it!

"The Shack" is a definite need to read. Makes you re-think your relationship with God on a lot of levels.
Have a great time and Happy Anniversary to you two rookies...this year will be our 33rd!

Let us know waht Brad thinks of The Shack. I read it and didn't like it, though most people say it changes your life.

I'm reading it right now, so far so good. Have fun in the mountains!

You're rooting for the Sooners, right?!?!
