at home with the kids..we actually had it on the evening before Valentine's (Sunday)..the kids were so excited asking us "are we moving the table into the living room again?..are we going to have a fire?...are we getting a gift?...what are we having to eat?..etc etc...super excited...and while it was a bit warm that day for a fire in the fireplace, we had to have it for "atmosphere", right? Last year we had steak, but this year we had pork loin, mashed potatoes, and peas..very good....
And like last year, we required everyone to get "dressed" like we were going out to eat...I picked these beautiful tulips up earlier that day..
Dessert...red velvet cake..hard time getting the colors right in these pics due to low lighting, no flash...lots of "yellow" in the pictures..
AND GIFTS!
I found the cutest sock monkeys at Walmart of all places!

and a good night was had by all..second year in a row...
...(and all I can think of when I look at this picture, is how much Chaz needed a haircut..we went soon after this)...
