So, we have been picking up one of Chaz's teammates from his house for a few days to help his Mom out while she has a baby, and while we were waiting while he took his dog out, Bailey and I wandered around the front yard..and low and behold, there was a pretty big Peony bush busting with blooms..well, I am NOT above stealing flowers from people's yard (beware!), so I snatched one off of the bush to take home cause I love me some peonies...and it is so beautiful..it opens more and more each day and smells so good!
The common thing I've noticed with peonies is that ants like them...there are almost always ants in the flowers...my father in law loves these flowers too and always had them blooming at their old house..not sure if they have them now?
Can't you imagine a bridal bouquet of all Peonies? THAT would be beautiful for a Spring wedding..
I've decided I want to move into an old farmhouse that belonged to an old woman that loved gardening..with a yard full of all of the good OLD flowers that are awesome for cutting for bouquets inside and for sharing like Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas, Iris, Tulips, Camelias, Daffodils,Gardenias, etc...
Yeah, I want an "old woman" garden...
