I've been trying to muddle through the maze of learning to coupon, along with hundreds of my friends (who all seem to WAY better at it than me)...
To be honest, I had given up and just said to heck with it..but Brad wasn't too happy about that and urged me to keep trying because it could really make a difference in our monthly bills..so I sucked it up and put my nose to the grind once again..and am now kicking myself that I didn't keep buying my papers seeing as how all the deals lately have come from the coupons in the April papers..grrrr...lesson learned..however I did collect some papers through Feb and March..and have finally figured some things out..I prefer www.couponmom.com ..I like the list format she gives for each store...
WELL, today, I got my first real deal..now for my friends who have been doing this awhile, don't forget YOUR first time getting a little deal, ok? lol...baby steps..baby steps..and the Southern Savers girl told us THAT at a class I went to that she taught...and my brain got fried..but I digress...
Drum Roll please....
I got these things for $2.18 (including tax)...savings of $9.81 (the two waters were FREE)...and that little deal may have been the thing I needed to boost my confidence...I'm feeling pretty good ..everything is sitting out for Brad to see when he gets home..lol
and NO, I don't have a dog, but my new walking partner is a big black lab that lives across the street, and well, she deserves a treat after our walks :)
Now, I finally think I saw the "fun" in couponing..it's sort of like a little game, isn't it?
