We "upgraded" our pool..mainly because the other one had a hole in it, but still, it was time for something a little bigger :P
Really, it's so hot and humid here, I have no desire to go outside..but they go in and out and get in the pool to cool off ...
We have outside speakers, so it becomes a bit like a pool party when the music is turned up rather loudly...
Whatever works, whatever works...
I'll admit it..I'm bad about having pictures printed..truth be told, most of my pictures stay on my computer...but the other day, I finally had some of our family pictures printed from the beach and changed out some pictures around the house..I love how this one turned out on my sofa table..the colors look so pretty in that frame (which is my favorite frame by the way ..and it came from Walmart a while back..hee hee)...
I've also been wanting a coffee table badly..one reason is that I want something to put my feet up on when we are watching TV...I used to have one, but once the kids came along, we cleared it out to make a lot of open space in the living room...well, I have looked online and at a few stores with no luck..plus I am cheap..so all of a sudden yesterday, a lightbulb went off..I had this chest that used to be my Grandmother's when she was little up in my bonus room...hmmm? So, I dragged it down BY MYSELF while Brad and the kids were off on an errand..and I LOVE it..it does have some issues on the top, but I just put something over those spots...and you do know, I like my furniture "distressed" right? So keep that in mind...
However, last night, we ended up having a dance party some how, and the kids moved everything off of it and it became a stage..see why I like things already "distressed"...Kids!
We need new furniture, carpet, and we need to paint really badly..but we will be getting a new puppy soon, so that stuff can wait..well, we could paint, but maybe once the weather cools off, huh?

Bailey finished up her week of "Art and Swim" camp with Ms.April, her art teacher that she takes classes from during the school year after school twice a month..she made lots of good things...they did art part of the morning and then swam the latter half...perfect! Here she is with Ms.April...
Her panda bear painting (and some other creations) didn't make it into this picture, but it is SO cute! The tall creation was a growth chart for most kids, but some girls chose to do them like this so they could put hooks on them and hang jewelry or whatever from them (I wish Bailey would paint things in her room colors though..lol)...
Chaz has been doing some extreme scootering around here today...on Bailey's "Bratz" scooter instead of his Razor for some reason? lol...

This is his new favorite hat..the neighbors across the street gave it to him and he has worn it everyday since with it flipped up like that..lol
Yesterday, I picked up Ms.April's son Logan when I dropped off Bailey at camp..he and Chaz were in the same class this past year..we went to the movies and to eat pizza for lunch..they were being very goofy..
It's been a fun week..the kids are at the grandparents now since I work tomorrow..that also means it's date night for Brad and I..going out to eat in a bit..guess I should go "pretty up"..
2 more weeks until school..just thought I'd throw that out there...
My desire to scrapbook..it has been gone bye bye for awhile now..it just seems like I can't sit down and concentrate..no motivation..my usual problem with things..BUT since I went to that overnight scrap-a-thon at Wendy's, I feel remotivated! Here are two I finished up..and then today I got the journaling put on 5 or 6 more..I still have to photograph those..but here are two..

As you know, we like to do some crafts around here sometimes..well, Bailey mainly, Chaz, not so much..I saw the directions for this cute craft online and in my magazine, so I knew it was one we would have to try...Directions here
I gathered up the supplies and Bailey and I got busy..

Add your ribbon for the "tentacles"..I guess you call them?
Cover another bowl with glue to fit up into the other bowl and cover the ribbon
and the poke a hole to add the inside tentacles (read the directions for this)..and Voila..
A happy little jellyfish..I hung ours in our eating area...lol..and I didn't get to finish mine because I was also getting dinner ready and got pulled away to cook..multi tasking..
This was the big week for Chaz to go to C3 ...our church is one of the hosting churches for it...it's a week long, activity filled, non stop energy from 8-5 camp for kids...the team that leads it is awesome..mainly college age kids that travel around and put the camps on plus our church provides tons of volunteers too..most of our teens volunteer to help..there are tons of people on our campus all week long..Today was Family Day where parents could come and follow their kids to see what they had been doing all week and then there was a closing program and then a free Chick fil A lunch..unfortunately, it rained today, so they had to make due with the activities inside our church, but at least it wasn't 100 degrees like it's been..it was just wet and muddy today :)
Bailey was super excited to go and join Chaz...she could have gone this year, but I just didn't think she could hang all day long..next year, she will go...
In the morning, when you drop your kid off, they have all sorts of games and stuff for them to do until the morning activities get started...
Dodgeball..Chaz came up to me and had gotten hit right in the face with a muddy wet ball and had grass all over his face..oh well, that's the risk you take..lol
Chaz and Malachi were part of the Ocean team..there are three main teams: Ocean, Safari, and Alpine..divided by age groups..and then the big teams are broken down into smaller teams..Chaz was on the "Tigersharks"...lol..they have cheers and symbols and everything..this is the Ocean symbol..and they all compete for points all week...

Both of my kids had the pleasure of having Tori be one of the leaders of their group..Bailey had her for VBS and Chaz had her this week..they love her..
He also loved having Miss Lizzy help them..Chaz took this picture..
There were lots of games/relays throughout the day...Wednesday was wild wacky wet day..
One of Chaz's three activities that he chose to do was Secret Ops..they did "top secret operations" around camp..he earned his official "agent" certificate today from Mr.Jacob...lol..they had to sign things with their thumb prints..lol
One of his other activities was basketball (Note: it is almost impossible to get good photos in either of these buildings..very dim and yellow cast lighting)

Really, it was mass chaos...geeez..
and then his third track was wiffleball..unfortunately,it rained several afternoons when they were supposed to play, so I think they only got to really play on the field one good day...today they did some other game in the building..bummer..
and then a lesson...each track pulled in some type of Bible lesson, which was great..
and we had to search down his main team leader, Eric, at the end to get a picture with him..Chaz talked about him a lot..and apparently Eric made an impression on Chaz b/c I've gotten lots of "God talk" on the way home everyday..his little mind is starting to work and process all this stuff..love it..
Overall, it was a wonderful week for him...lots of driving back and forth to Fayetteville for me, but worth every trip :)

Since Chaz has been at camp all week, Bailey has been booking up my schedule ...Tuesday was playdate day..we picked up Emma on our way home from dropping Chaz and then Katlynn came over too...
I'm telling you, give a girl a hose and friends, and they are good to go for awhile...

Pool Fools (I saw this title somewhere online and thought it was quite appropriate..lol)
Chaz and Bailey had VBS a few weeks ago at our church and for the closing program, they had some of the kids do a speaking part..when Julie asked me if Chaz would be willing to do one, I said "probably not, but I'll check"...surprisingly, he agreed...it was pretty simple, but he did great!
We had close seats, but many parents blocking with their cameras (imagine that?) and stuff, so it was hard for us to see Bailey..she's so little and was behind some bigger kids..but she sang and danced her little booty off..
The VBS we had was "Shake It Up Cafe"...it was so fun..the decorations were awesome..huge balloon ice cream sundaes...our church does things right..
They had a great time all week..this was the first year Bailey was with the big kids, so she really enjoyed it...
I took pictures the first day for the slide show they showed at the program..unfortunately Chaz wasn't there the first day b/c he had spent the night with a friend..so I don't have any pictures of him actually during the week, but here are a few of Bailey..
Of course, when asked what was her favorite part, her answer was "crafts"..they made these chef hats the first day..the hats made for some great props for pictures of all the kids..
She LOVED her team leader Tori and her assistant (can't remember her name)...
I'm so glad they had fun..I used to love VBS every summer too!
It was a "girls only" weekend Friday evening to Saturday night...Bailey and I loaded up and went to my friend Wendy's house (she kicked her husband and three boys out for the night..lol..they went and had some fun and left us the house) for scrapbooking and a sleepover for the girls..Wendy's daugther is one of Bailey's dearest friends..they were "BFFs" in Preschool and Pre-K...and we still make an effort to keep in touch and get together...Neither Wendy nor I have scrapbooked in a while, so we spread out all over her dining table and busted out some layouts...we had the Cricut and the Silhouette going, along with laptops, music, food, and there may or may not have been a few glasses of wine involved...
We stayed up until 2:30am Friday night...we're hard core like that...
(Wendy never got out of her pajamas on Saturday..lol..she's going to kill me for that..but she had laser focus on getting a project completed)
The girls played American Girl dolls (see that tent in the background above? They stayed in that A LOT), watched movies, pretended, and then on Saturday, spent lots of time outside on THIS..
Pretty cool, huh? Yeah, Bailey thought so too...
E went so fast, I missed her..

Of course, Bailey is going to go down the slide any which way she can...
