So, I've had some things brewing in my head for a little while...ways to get girlfriends together, not for a long weekend, but for just a few hours or so, to hang out, talk, eat, make new friends, etc etc...I know A LOT of women who know a lot of women through my network of friends, church, Mom to Mom, work, neighborhood, etc...and really, we all just want to have some time to hang with girls, don't we? away from the kids, time to breathe, to laugh, to "gab"...
I saw this post this morning on a blog and thought BINGO!..something like this may work..and it could start small and grow into quite a large thing..and lots of networking and friendships could be made and lots of fun could be had...wouldn't matter your age..you could bring your daughter if she's a little older (but no little kids..this is an escape, remember?) or your Mom, or...it could go on and on...
A "Craft Night"...or afternoon or something...something easy that you can do while you talk and eat..nothing complicated..you don't have to be that "crafty", but still leave with something cute...with the era of Pinterest and all those cute ideas floating around out there in virtual world, I want to start making some stuff instead of just "saving" ideas..this says it all...
This girl, Meg, who has an awesome blog, does it on a larger scale..a "craft weekend"..and girls fly in from all over..not quite ready for that..but just keep it local..by the way, that is one of my MOST favorite blogs in my very long list that I read...
SO, pondering do something like this maybe every other month starting next year, would need a location with tables (for free), some type of system for collecting a small charge to cover supplies so that everything would be there ready for you when you come (I suppose I would need to set up some sort of Paypal thing), etc etc...
And like I said, it wouldn't really be all about the "craft", but more about the fellowship..
This could be WAY fun...who would be in, I wonder?
Feel free to give a shout if this is something you would be interested in, evenings or days that are good, or any ideas, etc..give me your opinion please..
This makes me excited thinking about it...I like to plan things, remember? :)
I like this idea. Would you come up with the craft each month or would it be a rotation?

I love the idea, thanks for including me. Not sure what kind of space will be needed but we just finished our basement and have a large room that may work! Let me know!
