Project Life-Weeks 16 and 17

Goodness, got behind on photographing my pages..so here goes two weeks...

Week 16

That photo of Ace getting a bath is so funny to me...

 

Week 17

A few notes...I was wishing Chaz had kept a ticket stub or something from the baseball game he went to with friends, but he didn't..so I went online and found an image from UGA's baseball site, and printed that along with the picture of them at the game..cute...and I forgot about Bailey going on a field trip that day (bad Mom), but my friend Natalie is also a photographer and always takes pictures and she DID go..so I got her to send me that instagram pic and I used that to document the field trip..I had to mount it onto a larger card and add a few embellishments..heaven forbid..it took me so long to figure out what to do...lol

Inserts for this week: some art work I found in Bailey's backpack..thought it was fun and happy :) I just mounted them onto white cardstock in a 8x8 protector...

and that's it :)

Project Life-Week 15

And on to Week 15...Easter week..+ a few inserts..

Inserts..first one is a 5x7 protector with some cards the kids got from family for Easter...

and then a BH Design G protector..love these...they are 12x10..

and on the backside, more pictures of the kids sleepover...

and that's a wrap..this past weeks layouts coming next...just have to photograph it..

Project Life-Week 14

Well Hello there..long time, no talk..I've been caught up with my Project Life, but too busy or lazy to photograph it..so playing catch up with my posts...

This was Spring Break week for us..No inserts for this week...

The kids spent the night at my parents one of the nights so I got them to take some pictures while they were there..the two collages are from their time at Nannie and Poppie's house..

Project Life-Week 12

Well, here we go..another week...Lots of photos this week..and not much journaling..Like I've said before, I add a lot of text to the pictures, so I count that..lol...

Two inserts...the first one is a BH protector that I cut in half..and I bought the framed journalers from Cathy Zielske..love them..

and then my kid's awesome report cards..and a note that Brad left for them..

I've stuck with this 3 whole months! Rock on!

Project Life-Week 11

Still ticking along...I had to break out and make my own date card up in the left corner..sometimes the ones in the kit just don't pop with my pictures...

 

Two inserts...

Chaz and Bailey each had a friend spend the night on that Thursday night..so a collage of each of them from Friday..

and then this funny thing Bailey brought home from school that they had displayed in the hall, I'm assuming..."yes, Bailey, we wonder what he does too" ;)

I'm pretty much in a flow with PL...On Monday, I tend to go through my pictures from the prior week and pick and print the ones I want to use...and then figure out any inserts, if any...and then typing/printing the journaling last...sometimes it gets done in a day or so..sometimes longer..not gonna sweat it..

Bailey likes to look through the album.. ;)  isn't that what it is all about?

Project Life-Week 10

Wow, I made it to Week 10...awesome! (I do have to go back and do the week 8,but other than that, I'm caught up)  YES!

First insert is an 8x8 collage from her bday party...made in Picasa...

backside is another collage from the stuff we did at her school...

Some favorite pics I took of her...6x9...cut down my page protector and sewed it...word art by Ali Edwards...

and have you seen the Martha Stewart stuff they have at Staples now? I bought three packs of different labels and two packs of different page protectors...this one I used for the cards has like two pockets...

Project Life-Week 9

Here we go..week 9...click on the picture to read the journaling..

(I got a nice email to my supervisor from the Chief of Nursing about the care I gave her husband in our unit...I was so touched..I copied and pasted it onto a blank ledger card..hee hee)

A few inserts for the week...

Bailey brought home this cute little book she had made at school full of happy little drawings..just put it into a 6x6 protector...

and this owl thing she made? Be still my heart...

and had to include the report/grade we got back on Chaz's first book report..loved the note the teacher wrote at the bottom (and she's a notoriously tough teacher)...

and that wraps up another week  :)

This past week is going to be tough..I have a LOTof pictures (it was Bailey's birthday..so gonna have a large collage insert this week)

Project Life- Week 5

Wow, I made it to Week 5..PEOPLE, you just don't get how monumental this is for me..actually sticking with something scrapbooking! And still feeling excited about it! Something that this project is making clear to me is that there is something every week to celebrate...or something fun going on amongst the everyday stuff...and that our lives are full and blessed :)

Something I am working on is making sure to include Brad and I on each week in some way...not just the kids..and of course, I have to have a picture of Ace too :)

I'd like to bump up the "embellishing" a little with some scrapbook supplies, but it never really seems to happen except here and there..but guess that's just my style...not a ton of embellishments...guess I like clean lines with a touch of something here and there...

This cracked me up...

I am not that great at including a ton of journaling..but I tend to put my journaling on my pictures digitally, so that counts, right?

Project Life Week 4

I'm having to REPOST this because I decided to start categorizing my posts and I accidentally deleted my Week 4 post...grrr...so it won't be as detailed..mainly just pictures...

Project Life-Week 3

Runnning a tad bit behind on getting this finished, but finally got it done today...

Last week was a busy week, mainly at the beginning and towards the end...

The little bits and pieces of "stuff" I had for this week...Chaz's name badge from his church retreat..and I cut up the flyer for it and included it under the picture of him and his bud...

I also had one insert..bless their hearts at church..they took group pictures and had printed them for the parents..yay! I found 5x7 page protectors at Hobby Lobby, but they are way bigger than 5x7, so tried my hand at customizing them by cutting them down and sewing them...it would help if I could sew straight, but not going to let it bother me..no REALLY, I'm not...

They had even added the logo onto the picture :)

This second photo was of the brave (?) souls that took the challenge and went Polar Bear Swimming in the lake at 7am in JANUARY..yes, my son was part of that group :)

I made a little mini collage of the pics from when I took B and her friend to the movies..made it in Picasa...

and oh yes I did...I switched to computer journaling on my cards..and sigh, I feel so much better!I also made a little canvas in Photoshop and put two of my pictures on it and sized it to fit the 3x4 slot...

and here again, I am going to go on about how much I am enjoying this project!!! LOTS!
